Shapes, colors and textures are eye candy to me. Every day sights and events like the changing light on a line of trees, morning and evening light on the ocean, God-given plants and animals in my neighborhood and home, special meals with my husband and family, time with friends, and even seeing great need in others often fills me with inspiration and thankfulness to be alive. I draw, paint and sculpt because I want to respond to my world. It is important to me that my  artwork inspires hope to myself and the viewer. Sometimes making art feels like prayer.
